Why should I consider a regular M.Optom course after Bachelors in Optometry?

“ I am Optom. Helly Shah, student of first batch of Bachelor (2004-2008) as well as Master of Optometry (2009-2011). I found myself lucky enough to get this opportunity to study in NSO. I am glad to have all faculties who are so passionate about teaching and highly knowledgeable. This college is actually not college but a school type college where study comes first and in fact we learn more practical with increasing knowledge of theory as well. My proud, that is, prefix of my name “Optom.” is only due to my college, NSO. Being gold medalist, I am proud to say that right now I am working as an Academician at the same college where I finished my study as Master Student. I am also pursuing Ph.D. in Optometry (Low Vision) from Gujarat University. Thanks to all faculties to be always supportive and to the NSO, where I framed myself as an Optometrist. Really feel proud and glad to have NSO in my lifeline. "

“ I am working in AIIMS Bhopal as Technical Officer Ophthalmology. Professional as an optometrist i feel happier. Optometry provides me with a decent and stable career. There are many more opportunities and a wider specialty field after doing post-graduation. I experience easier patient management independently. In future I want to start Optometry specialty in AIIMS Bhopal hospital. Also my department has plans to start B.Optom course in future.I am proud to be Nagar School of Optometry student. “ M.Optom Batch 2013 I have been practicing in Dubai since the last 5 years. My roles have included being a clinician as well as an educational speaker. As a practicing optometrist, I always recollect the training I received at Nagar School of Optometry. 6 years at this institution were full of thorough learning, continuous work at the hospital and a lot of fun-filled time with friends. We were encouraged to participate in national and international optometry conferences from as early as our first year. “ I studied B.Optometry and M.Optometry from N.S.O. After completing my study, i have started my own Optometry clinic and Optical store in Ahmedabad. And i got good respect from my patients as an Optometrist. And during Master of Optometry, I learned so many clinical aspects in detail which makes me more confident in my Optometry practice. In 2017 i joint Eyewear Design course in Italy. And i have completed it in 2019. And now i am working as an Eyewear designer with Stile italiano in Italy. From NSO I achieved best Optometry knowledge so i am always thankful to my all professors. And there is a big advantage of clinical experience of approximately 100 patients per day because NSO is connected to Nagri eye hospital. Apart from Optometry knowledge I learned Good presentation skills and i got so many opportunities to take part in International Optometry conferences."

“ I have done Master of Optometry from Nagar School of Optometry. I was one of the student from second batch , both in Bachelors as well as in Masters course. At present I am working with Ahmedabad Eye Laser Hospital Pvt. Ltd. as a Senior Optometrist. Optometry is a noble profession where you can serve the humanity with your skills and also earn good perks.
